The Wallingford Swim and Racquet Club is proud to host the first annual Celebration of the Arts Festival on August 30, 2017 from 3pm to 8pm.  The focus of the Festival is to highlight the benefits of our School District’s Arts program by featuring opportunities for our children to display their athletic, musical, and artistic talents.  We will start with a 5K Fun Run followed by an evening of swimming, eating, listening to various music ensembles and participating in arts activities.  All of the performers and artists will come from our school district.

Entry will be by ticket only with the proceeds going to the WSSD Jack Hontz Memorial Endowment.  This fund will provide instruments, art and music supplies, and scholarships for students in the district.

As this is the first year, we expect participation to be between 200-300 people from our community.  We are writing to inform you of this event and to seek your support.  Please consider participating in this sure-to-be epic event by becoming a VIP Sponsor.  Below we have suggested a few levels for your consideration but we will welcome any level of support.

First Chair Sponsors with receive opportunities for recognition via Electronic Display, Recognition on the T-Shirt, Trade Show Tent availability at event, and 4 free tickets to the entire event (race registration included)

Second Chair Sponsors will recognized on the T Shirt, Trade Show Tent availability at event, and 2 free tickets to the entire event (race registration included)

First Annual Celebration of the Arts Festival

Wallingford Swim and Racquet Club is extremely proud of Wallingford Swarthmore School District’s Arts programs.  The benefits of our music and arts programs to our entire community have spanned decades and are too numerous to mention.  We have decided to show our support by hosting the first Annual Celebration of the Arts Festival.  The proceeds of this event will help fund the WSSD Jack Hontz Memorial Endowment to support our WSSD students who participate in district music and arts programs.

The Festival will start with a 5K Fun Run and the evening will continue with music and art celebrations.  Live Music will be provided by our very own Strath Haven High School students.  A pop-up art gallery will provide opportunities for everyone to contribute at various art activities, staffed by our very own National Art Honor Society Students.

The evening will start with a 5K Fun Run.  Registration will begin at 3 pm with race time at 4 pm.  The start and finish lines will be outside Wallingford Swim & Racquet Club’s parking lot.  Registration fee is *$20 and forms will be available on the WSARC website:

Racers will receive a cool T Shirt, entry into the Festival, and tickets for Pizza and drinks.

For those of you that would rather relax and enjoy the music and swimming, tickets will be *$10/person.  Non racers will receive entry into the Festival and tickets for Pizza and drinks.  There will be T-Shirts available for purchase, as well.  Tickets will be available in advance at the pool office and at the gate the day of the Festival.
