2008 Tennis at WSRC

The Healthplex Sports Club is back to run our tennis programs.  This year we have the junior tennis team, a full schedule of clinics, round robins, three adult tennis socials, and some August offerings.   Highlights include:  

·        A competitive junior tennis program for boys and girls, starting with pre-season practice, on Tuesday,June 3rd, and finishing with an awards tourney and banquet at the courts, Friday, July 25^th, 5-7pm.  Pre-season junior team practice will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 3, 5, 10, 12, and Monday the 16^th,  from 4-5:30 PM.  This year there will be an extra pre-season practice on Monday, June18.  See the enclosed Tennis Program flyer for details.  There will be a $40.00 fee to participate ( with a cap of $110 for multiple kids) on the Junior Tennis Team.  Enclosed is the Registration Form for the Jr. Tennis Team.  

·        Greg Barkley and Tim Scott will be returning as our Professionals.  They are well known and highly regarded.  If your children are interested in assistant positions, contact Hilary Tredemis at The Healthplex, Hilary.Tridemas@crozer.org.  

·        A full schedule of tennis clinics each week for all ages and experience.

·        Friday Round Robins for Juniors, and Ladies.  

·        A TENNIS KICK-OFF, featuring a parent/child tournament (12:00 – 2:00), and an Adult Round Robin (start at 2:00 after Parent /Child), Saturday, June 7^th   .   See the enclosed flyer for details.  

·        Adult Mixed tennis socials on Friday, June 13, June 27, and July 18th. (all three are on Fridays)  

·        Four Adult Clinics have been scheduled for August.  

·        Private instruction as requested by members.  See the pros for private lesson fees.  

·        Daily tennis court maintenance, Monday thru Friday, throughout the entire season.  

·        All equipment (except tennis racquets), tennis balls, teaching aids, refreshments for the matches, team shirts for all participants.  

·        Indoor play at The Healthplex for all scheduled activities (except matches) in the event of inclement weather. Tennis Weather Hotline - 610-328-8869.  Call the Healthplex if you are worried about the weather conditions.
