Katie Harnish – Head Wallygator Coach

Coach Katie has been with the Wallingford swim team since 2017. She started swimming at 4 years old in the Delco league at Hilltop Swim Club. From there Katie has swam on numerous teams such as the Suburban Sea Hawks, the Lansdown Marlins, and for Cardinal O’Hara High School. In college Katie swim for Widener University. Her favorite events are backstroke and sprint free style. “Summer swimming is so important for so many reasons. Besides the obvious importance of water safety, summer swimming offers the perfect combination of fun and competition. We focus on camaraderie, technique, and leadership. I love nothing more than seeing those light switch moments where all of the hard work pays off for swimmers. It makes all of the time, practices, and sore muscles worth it!
