About the Pools

Wallingford Swim and Racquet Club has four pools for your swimming enjoyment.

Everyone, of all ages, has a pool at the club to call home! Newborns and toddlers enjoy splashing in the large baby pool. Toddlers and elementary school-aged children can play and swim in what we call the “turtle” pool. This pool begins at just two feet deep and gradually slopes to a final depth of just three feet. The “L” pool starts at a four foot depth gradually sloping to five feet. The water slide is a favorite of kids and adults alike. Finally, the dedicated lap pool is a favorite with the adult members of the club. Every summer we challenge our members to swim 1,000 laps before Labor Day. Those who succeed are rewarded with a t-shirt.

Our swimming program includes a swim team and free swim lessons for kids over three.

ABOUT THE TENNIS FACILITIES

The four outdoor hard tennis courts and two Har-Tru (synthetic clay) courts are a popular place to be throughout the summer. Members are welcome to sign up for any of the free adult and youth tennis clinics offered by our tennis pros during the summer or book private lessons.  We have girls’ and boys’ junior tennis teams as well as several men’s and women’s tennis teams who compete throughout the spring and summer.

ABOUT THE PADDLE FACILITIES

WSARC offers three paddle tennis courts for year-round use.  Paddle instruction is available as private or small group lessons.  The paddle hut provides space for paddle players to warm up and socialize.  With lights and floor heat, our paddle courts are popular during the day and evening  – even in the middle of winter!

About the Grounds

The club grounds include a snack bar, basketball court, Gaga Pit, two playgrounds, and outdoor grills for use by our members at any time. There’s ample space on the lawn for pick-up games of baseball, soccer, and anything other games that you and the kids can come up with. The club supplies ample chairs and picnic tables for all members to use.

About the People

Social events throughout the summer bring the community together to have fun. The club organizes several picnics, visits from food trucks, movie nights, and barbecues throughout the summer, as well as our famous Kids Krazes and adult socials.

Our Life Guards

Our dedicated staff return year after year to keep our pools safe. The guards are familiar faces from our high school and our community.

WSARC lifeguards provide private swim lessons. Please feel free to reach out to a manager for contact information or directly to the guard. A half an hour private lesson ranges from $15-$30, determined by the individual guard and are held during normal operating hours. These private sessions allow for lessons to be adapted to the needs of the individual child.
